6 Month Stats

This past few weeks I'm pretty sure Lucas has been on a camera strike.. if he sees me pull it out, all smiles are gone. He could be laughing to the point of tears but if he spots that little black camera, he shuts down. I guess my laid back boy is allowed to have control sometimes.

Mr. Lucas had a fabulous 6 month check up.

He weighs 20 lbs and 29 inches long.

He sleeps 10-12 hours a night and has two naps during the day.

Since lw's been enjoying veggies and fruits for the past few months, we got the go ahead for meat. I guess breastfed babies need more iron so here's to another food adventure. I made chicken with brown rice and sweet potatoes...he loved it! He was a little bird at dinner just hanging his mouth open waiting for another bite. What a shock the boy likes to eat..

This month he's really turned into a little guy and away from infant... he is constantly on the go and is more active in his wants and needs. I took him out of his highchair the other night and he LOST it.. later I figured out he loves to play with the buckle and straps. So after a meal he will sit and play with those things for at least 10 minutes.
I can't wait to see what the next 6 months will bring!

Thursday

What a wonderful day we had last Thursday.

In the morning we headed to Grimm Gardens to pick apples and red raspberries with Emerson and Kelsi. The kids had a blast! There were animals, bugs and fruit to pick.

It was warmer then we thought but the kids didn't mind.

Buddies holding hands.

Then we had a picnic lunch with daddy.

After work, we headed to Topeka for the Washburn Football game. It was fun but this tired boy was ready for bed before kickoff.

On a side note...we LOVE to tailgate at Washburn games but since LW is around we notice and truly dislike all the smoking that goes on. I have no problem with people making choices for their life but when we have to inhale it, I start to get upset. It's not so much Sam and I but rather Lucas..it's not fair to him.
The end of my vent..

6 months

Since Lucas is 6 months old today we decided to give him something sweet... peach baby yogurt.

I think we will stick to veggies and fruits.

We love football!

Another fun weekend of football for our family.

Friday night we had to pull out the jackets and hats..

Saturday morning  "Is it time to go yet??"

Too much excitement for the little guy.

Awesome game! Go Cats!

Sunday afternoon it was nice and cool to get some yard work done. Lucas kept staring down at the ball field.. I think he misses baseball.

Yumm!

What a great weekend!

Last Pool Day

Since the high today won't get much above 55 degrees I decided to share our last swim day.

A few weeks ago we checked out the Seneca pool and it was a blast!

They had jets and fun stuff for Lucas to enjoy.

He kept sticking his hand in the water and it would splash him in the face.

What a fun game!

It was a perfect day!

Daddy Time

This is how Sam and Lucas spend time after work during the week.
