I fondly remember Sam placing his hand on my belly to feel Lucas kick and move around. He was a chill baby from the start.
I'm afraid baby brother is going to challenge us all. Sam told me to video my belly. No need to come feel the movement... you can see it from across the room.
Photo Dump
Our usual sick-free house has been bombarded with sinus infections, throwing up and runny noses. Finally after many movies, boxes of Kleenex daily trips to the pharmacy we are slowly on the mend. Here are the remaining photo's I've been meaning to upload.
We had the kids over for birthday cupcakes.
At this point he was a pro at the birthday stuff.
Friday before Easter we headed to Fairview for the egg hunt. This boy was very crabby but we decided to go anyways. Just look at those swollen eyes!! I felt terrible after seeing these pictures! Sinus infections stink big time!
Aunt Shelly came along and he ended up having a good time.
Saturday we had the cousin egg hunt. Everyone was feeling better and had a great time.
Both girls are so gentle and sweet to Lucas.
Our daily game of baseball. He's been going to practice with Dad and just loves it. This particular day he took a nap...which doesn't happen often anymore...so he was up super late. We had a blast just playing!

Passed out cold!
Only 5 more weeks as a family of 3. I'm trying to soak it up but also excited to expand our family with another little boy. We talk to Lucas about the new baby but he's too young to really understand. I think he'll do wonderful until his toys start disappearing.
New York
We made it to New York and was instantly greeted with honking horns and busy, busy, busy. I was impressed with Sam's patience with all the driving and many back seat drivers. We checked into the hotel then met family at a yummy diner in Queens. Lucas was so worn out he slept on my lap most of the meal.
That evening we spent time with my aunts, grandma and cousins at the house preparing for the funeral. It was nice to visit and share stories of grandpa.

We had a little hotel drama the morning of the funeral. Our room was just gross. There's no other way to say it. The thought of Lucas touching anything made my skin crawl. We packed the car and set out for somewhere else to stay. It's close to impossible to find a hotel chain in this part of NY. We found a Comfort Inn and I before booking, I was that crazy lazy that wanted to inspect the room PRAISE THE LORD.. it was really nice and CLEAN. We only had 15 mins to get Lucas bathed and back to my grandma's house to leave for the funeral home. Lucas was a champ and we made it with time to spare.
Asher and Lucas playing while the family visited.
After the service we all headed back to my grandma's house for food and visiting. We spent most that time in the basement letting Lucas run around and be a kid. We were beyond grateful Asher brought some toys over so Lucas wasn't completely bored. It was nice visiting with family we rarely see.
Thursday was Lucas' birthday so we started the day with his favorite breakfast treat. Waffles!
Breakfast in bed!
After dropping family off we headed to the New York Hall of Science Kids Museum to celebrate Lucas' day. This place was beyond cool!
After playing we had new york pizza for lunch then headed back to grandma's house.
Love mimi
Lucas and his 3rd cousin Jason both turn two within days of each other so my mom got them a cake to celebrate.
By this time he was a pro at blowing out candles.
The next morning we headed back home. It was a sad reason for the trip but it was wonderful to see everyone and visit.
Next up: Kansas Birthday Party.
