Boys will be boys

I'm pretty sure I spend a good portion of my day cleaning up from meal time. I've figured out that little boys can make a mess out of just about anything.. for instance...toast. Simple enough.. maybe a little butter. Oh no..this guy likes to smear the butter in his hair then proceeds to bring the bread to his nose and inhale really hard. We had dinner last week with friends and I'm pretty sure they were horrified as they watched Lucas eat rice, beans and avocado. I just have to shake my head, laugh and make sure I have a ton of wipes! I've learned if you make an attempt at restaurants to clean up, the wait staff is much nicer.

Grandma sent us home with some yummy leftovers for lunch.

yep...you have cottage cheese on your forehead buddy!

All clean and ready to play. I wouldn't have this mess boy any other way!

The everyday fun..

I have no better title for this post! Here are some shots of our daily life.

I have a few unlocked cabinets that I let the kids open and pull everything out. It makes them feel like big kids! Well this is what I found after putting away morning snack.

Lucas sat still and let her "straighten" his hair! Or lack of hair..

Big boy bed  is going well.

Before baseball practice

I told LW to smile...what a goofy smile!

One day..

you'll be able to wear dad's shoes.

On a side note..these jammies were the first thing I bought for Lucas before we even knew he was a boy. This was the last time he wore them... he's growing like a weed!

Happy Saturday!

Everyday life

Just a typical week..

Cruising with the ladies

Sweet cousins
Checking the gas tank for Halle

Mowing with dad after work.

We are determined to get this done before baseball season starts.

Wow

Crazy fun with dad's hats before bed.

Picasso

Oh what a fun mess we had! I had to grab the binkie to keep his hands out from his mouth.

Happy Wednesday!

Big Boy Bed

This might seem early but Lucas has upgraded to a queen mattress on the floor. After nights of crying and rocking back to sleep I decided EVERYONE would be happier to loose the prison cell.
Our routine is now bath, books, nurse and while I read my book he falls asleep. It's wonderful!

He loves to read!

It's adorable to hear him playing by himself in his big boy room!

And play football.

Golf

I love our evenings outside!

No shoes for Lucas on the greens. Great Grandpa Fenton had that rule and Sam will make sure his kids abide by it too.

Easter weekend

What a busy Easter weekend. Lucas had a blast playing with his cousins and hunting for eggs. We also had  a great start of Passover..My mom found this old pop up book about the story of Passover that we've been reading for weeks now. Maybe next year I will actually do the seder!
Kiera trying to keep taps on Lucas

Let's go Papa

Very serious face..She was trying to keep up with her cousin.

On Saturday the kids got to hunt eggs on the baseball field then had a yummy dinner with family.

He decided to hold one the entire time!

The girls helping one another out.

Oh snacks...forget all this work. I will just sit here and eat!
