Life is sweet with an electric mixer..

I finally used my new KitchenAid mixer and it was life-changing! Ok.. maybe not life-changing but pretty cool! My task was Banana Bread and it came out a success.. which I owe it all to the mixer. The recipe instructed me to whisk egg's and sugar for 10 minutes...which would have been a horrible task in the past but not anymore. Like the famous infomercial " Set and forget it".. I did. I returned to an amazing frosting-like consistency which was a key component to the recipe. After a long 45mins in the oven, I finally got to taste the reward of my not- so-hard labor.
(I forgot to take a picture but come one.. everyone knows what banana bread looks like)

Here is a picture of turkey meatballs I made for lunch! If you haven't visited http://thepioneerwoman.com/ I suggest you stop what you're doing now and check it out. Her website has a lot more then recipes but I just LOVE the way she combines cooking and photography. While cooking, I always get worried it doesn't look right but with her recipes she has step by step pictures to ensure its going good. I've made her queso before and it was a hit.

Dogs get the boot

After spending an hour vacuuming the carpet and couches I made the decision the dogs need to stay off the furniture. So far so good... I swear Riley is cursing me in her head.. just waiting for dad to get home and free her from mean mom. Hopefully they'll get the hang of it.
She's very happy close to the fire
Hopefully this works!!!

Here comes the fun stuff

We finally made some decisions...YAY! I've heard building a house is stressful on a marriage but we've had a great time. We don't agree on everything but its been fun walking through the house after work picturing where everything will go.
