 Natural smile!

Just take the dang picture smile!

Who knew the fake cheese smile started so early!

Yoga with Dad

Last week I found my yoga mat and decided it was time to start working out again. While living in Dallas I LOVED the pil-yo (Pilates & yoga) class at our gym.. so while Lucas was playing with Play-doh I searched Hulu for some videos. I was able to do 20 mins as Lucas made a very big mess...which he enjoyed every minute of. Sam came home and Lucas decided to show him what mom was doing.

Love you man

Dad I'm gonna use your butt to help me with this move.

Here are some pictures from last week...when it wasn't super windy and super hot.
Look mom..we are watering!

I hate water!!

I wish he was this gentle to our dogs!

My very failed attempt at getting TD and Rae in the same picture!

B's crazy trampoline hair!

Mr. Hunter just hanging around. This kid is so ready to run around with the "big" kids! Soon enough little man.

15 months

Before Lucas was born I told myself I would write EVERYTHING down in his baby book.. weekly entries all about what he's learn and how he is growing up. I was doing great until he turned 10 months and then I dropped the ball big time. I would find myself trying to remember what happened two months ago! If you have a child you understand how much can change in that length of time. So instead of stressing about it, I decided my blog posts can be is baby book.

At 15 months little man you are growing & eating like a weed. It's amazing how much this little body can consume. I'm very luck that he enjoys healthy food just like the sweet stuff.
I would list the things he likes but it might take me all night.. here are things he refuses to eat....unless mom throws a little ketcup on them:  Eggs (any kind), deli meat, and bagels.

You no longer walk..running is much easier and way more fun. You've mastered balance and fall less and less everyday. It's wonderful to watch you figure out new things you can climb on.

Every day is seems like the chubby baby rolls are disappearing.. makes mom sad. These past few months you've only gained maybe a pound. We will find out next week at your check up.

You are constantly talking! Most days I can understand exactly what you want but on those off days, it's hard. Just like dad you can talk to anyone and crave social interaction. During walks you  wave and say "Hi" to passing cars..at the ball game last night we were walking home and you told EVERYONE "bye, bye." Singing is also a new trick and it's funny to hear to match tones and lyrics...or try to!

This month also brings up new challenges. You understand what no means and outright defiant when you are in a bad mood. Stomping feet is your go-to and honestly Sam and I just laugh. We only find humor because most time all you want is a hug and snuggle after getting in trouble. Not sure that will last long :-)

When it comes to schedule you're up late due to baseball games and sleep in close to 8-8:30. Lately nap time has been us snuggling in the basement watching tv or reading. Those are the best naps and while my house isn't spotless I really enjoy just relaxing. I keep telling myself that I will only get these times once with him..might as well enjoy it!

Then there's daddy..as much as you act like you need me.. the minute you open your eyes I hear you calling out "dada, dada" You wrestle and have so much fun being a boy with dad. I've even noticed you copying things that he does.. like water the lawn. We get outside to play and you have to put the sprinkler in the middle of the front lawn and say "water!!!" You seem to understand he's the same as you and really watch every move he makes.

You smile WAYYYY more then what I'm showing in pictures. For some reason you don't find that big black camera very funny!

We love you so much little man! Happy 15 months!
