Getting back to normal

Henry is almost 2 weeks old and I feel our life is starting to resemble a normal routine again. He's very laid back which helps because Lucas is always on the go. Right now H gets to spent lots of time in the Moby while I chase after Lucas. Here are some random pictures from the past few weeks.

Then we had some cooler days so we put the pool away and brought out play-dough.

Blogger and I haven't been friends lately. I've started this post 3 times and after all the uploading and typing it just disappears. blah.

We had a very FAST and smooth delivery with no induction medicine. From the first contraction he was born in less then 3 hours.

Things we've learned so far:

You hate being cold. Diaper changes are the WORST

Long and Lean. Most newborn clothes are getting too small in length.

Nursing is your favorite hobby and if i could sit in a chair all day, you'd be a very happy boy.

In a matter of minutes you peed and spit up on Aunt Shelly.

Very laid back personality....so far.

Big bro likes to "I hold him" and is usually gentle.

Moby wrap is your friend and I wear you 80% of the day so I can keep up with a 2 yr old.

No bottles yet but plenty of milk in the freezer when it's time.

Wheels on the Bus will make you smile/smirk. 

We are so in love with you Henry!!

We love Spring!

Nothing makes this very pregnant mama and very active toddler happier then SPRING! The second we step outside everyone is in a better mood. Last week Lucas and his cousins played in dirt and mud for well over an hour. It was such a mess but so worth it! 

This sweet smile has turned into all boy. He's sweet about 80% of the day with spurts of orneriness mixed in.      

Lucas sayings:

"Hmmmm (with his finger over his lips)....let's see"

"What's that noise??"

"Stop doing that!!" (we're working on this one)

"Where are the kids???" (Kids = cousins)

"Scary!!" 

He can count from 1-13 and skips to 16.

We've officially hit the cars stage. Most days we can't leave the house with at least one in each hand. They go in the shower with him, in the car, at the playground... anywhere he goes.. we have cars. I've yet to step or trip on them so we are doing good.

He's a great helper in the kitchen.

We spent our last Sunday as a family of 3 enjoying the beautiful weather. The boys went golfing in the morning so I could go grocery shopping alone! Later Sam mowed the lawn while Lucas played in the sandbox. The kids made it back from the farm and we headed down to the ball field for some "practice"

This boy cracks me up! He has so much energy and full of life. 

 

I pray this boy adjusts well to his new role as big brother.
