Henry's 1st Birthday Party

Since May is a crazy month we decided to have Henry's birthday a few days early. Our awesome babysitter Megan did a fantastic job decorating the smash cake.

Pictures uploaded backwards.

 Opening presents

I'm fully aware birthdays don't need all this "stuff." It's family, loved ones and a little candle that make a birthday special. I really enjoy being creative and after the kids are asleep, it's my outlet.

Thanks Aunt Shelly!

Gulf Shores Part 2

Here are some more pictures from the trip.

Morning walk on the beach collecting shells

The indoor pool at our condo was so warm.. the kids LOVED it.

I have to credit Ash for finding our awesome placed condo. Right outside our back door there was a large grass area the kids really enjoyed.

Lunch outside

Later that same day the skies opened up and poured over 15 inches of water. Schools. restaurants, government buildings all were closed. It was insane!

Hard to tell but water was gushing down from the elevator. Thankfully it was a quick storm.
For our rainy day we headed to Foley, AL for shopping and lunch at Lamberts.

They walk around offering side and will throw (aka FLING) hot rolls at you. The kids were very entertained.

YUMMMM

The longest fishing pier in the gulf coast.

Back at the beach after the crazy storm.

The kids had a blast feeding the birds.

Gulf Shores Vacation Part 1

Here are some pictures from our beach vacation to Orange Beach, AL.

Breakfast at the airport with cousins

Nashville airport was designed by a mom. They have a large play area for kids to RUN.
They begged to sit together.

And we did ANYTHING to keep this guy happy. He never napped on the flights but did really well.
Blanket, pretzels and Frozen. What else could you ask for?
First day at the beach and like a very excited momma...I snap a TON of pictures of the boys. And this is how they turned out!

Must remember Florida is HUMID!

Little Henry will literally throw himself out of your arms ALL THE TIME but get him near a big body of water...he was a leech. It wasn't unhappy but wasn't the fearless kid I thought he'd be.
