Second Stop: New York

Sunday Lucas and I flew home and were beyond excited to be with Sam again. We were able to spend a full day at home to unpack then repack the suitcase. Tuesday morning we headed to KC to get on another plane and head for New York. Our layover was pretty short in Chicago so I changed Lucas while Sam grabbed food. I have NO idea how people fly solo with kids often. Just trying to keep track of everything, diaper changes and lack of space. WOW.
Here are some phone pictures.

1. Early morning flight from Dallas to Kansas
2. Lucas was out quick after Sam picked us up in KC
3. New underwear
4. We had a toddler in PJ's at the airport. Yep.
5. On the flight home we bought the wifi so Sam could watch the Kstate game.
6. New York Pizza...yummmo
7. His first flight as a 2 year old. No more lap child flying.
8. But he could only fall asleep snuggling us.

First Stop: Dallas

Our crazy two weeks started with a trip to Dallas. My mom had spring break so we flew down Monday to spend the week with her. Our original plan was to take a train ride to the zoo on Wednesday and enjoy the wonderful weather. Tuesday I met up with some friends at the park and visited while the kids played. I need to remember to get pictures of adults AND kids.

The boys were so patient waiting for the tire swing.

 Sweet Gabby smile

Later that evening we had a little birthday celebration.

My mom went a little crazy with the Cars decorations.

Lucas is beyond spoiled.

Ice cream cake. My favorite.

Roughly 2 hours after we all sang Happy Birthday to Lucas and enjoyed cake, my mom got the gut wrenching call that my grandfather had fallen. After HOURS on the phone with airlines we drove my mom to the airport for a 6am flight to FL. We weren't scheduled to leave until Friday so we hung around Dallas in the warm weather visiting with friends and praying for grandpa.
We ended up staying in Dallas until Sunday spending time with my mom and making arrangements while my grandpa decided to be with G-d. He was such a wonderful man and it only brought us joy knowing he was no longer in pain but happy and healthy again.

Here are some phone pictures from trip.

1. Luckily on the way to Dallas we got bumped to first class.
2. Lots of leg room for mama, baby #2 and Lucas.
3. We visited the train park many times over the week
4. Enjoying a lemon while waiting for our lunch date (Liz and her wonderful boys)
5. Bike riding
6. We got daddy a little gift while in Dallas.
7. Early am run to the airport

The last two weeks have been incredibly busy, sad and just crazy. I will blog about that soon but here are some pictures pre-craziness.

Lucas got a birthday present early before our trip to Dallas.
