Playdough Fun

Lucas is really into play dough lately. He will spend hours building, cutting, and creating.

 I heart him!

 Baby brother woke up!

5 months old

It's been an interesting way to start Henry's 5th month of life. The poor kid can proudly say YES, my mom dropped me on my head. Well.. technically he rolled himself on to his head but it was under my supervision. Thankfully he's perfectly fine and didn't even bruise. I know he's not the first baby to fall off the bed but the sound of his head hitting the floor will play in my mind over and over again.
Since we were seen in the ER I have his up to date stats!
16 lbs 8 oz (Lucas was nearly 19.5 lbs at the same age!)
size 3 diapers
6-12 month clothes
nursing every 2 hours during the day and taking some bottles of bm
napping better and sleeping all night (most of the time)
Not interested in food yet

This boy LOVES to be outside. Lets hope winter isn't too rough on us.

Due to Henry's petite size I've had to adjust to his speed. (hence the ER visit) Lucas was chunky and very slow! The second you lay Henry down he's rolled over at least twice and gets stuck on something. I wonder how it'll be when he's REALLY moving.

We tried some food but his tongue still pushed everything out. His faces were entertaining!

Out of focus picture but that face and Lucas' photo bomb! wow

Brother love

Henry you are such a sweet and feisty little boy. You have so much of mom's personality it scares me to death! You like things a certain way and refuse to settle for anything less. When you are older all these personality traits will be such a asset. I secretly love you are a momma's boy and when strangers come around you dig your head into my neck to hid. I was the same way buddy!
We are so in love with our little firecracker and can't wait to see you grow up!

Fun with my big boy

Lucas and I had a wonderful opportunity for bonding time this afternoon. Henry is usually a terrible napper but today he slept for 3 straight hours. After I got a few things done we headed outside. Trying to soak up all the warm days!

I'm sure because he's mine I think every milestone is such a big deal, but Lucas is growing up. We can sit and have a full conversation and he's asking WHY all the time. I love he's starting to questions his surrounds and not just accepting.

His creativity has really taken off! Not too long ago he'd struggle playing with toys without me right there. Now I hear him creating dialogue between two army men and I try my best not to laugh. It's just so sweet.

He's all boy. He loves to get rough with his cousins and wrestle. He now will walk up to Tallen and politely ask "We wrestle now?" Tallen is such a good sport and always accepts.

He has such sweet love for Henry. I know soon enough he'll wish for him to stay little so his toys don't get messed up but I hope he learns patience. I struggle with that daily and not until recently did I discover how much he notices my reactions to situations. It's incredible to see your actions in a 2.5 year old and realize that he's watching EVERYTHING. I pray he doesn't have my short fuse and can work though tough situations without loosing it!

I brought the play-dough out and he fed his snacks for over an hour. I will always remember and cherish this alone time I got with my big boy.
