Rodeo Weekend

Oh I love our small town. A whole day...well evening.. devoted to the Rodeo coming to town. The festivities start with a kiddie bike race followed by a parade and ending with the actual Rodeo.

Lucas had his bike all ready for the race!

Serious look

This little guy just warmed my heart. He had THE largest grin as he rode down the street.
Mid-wave

These smiles were the product of TONS of candy being thrown during the parade.

Keim truck driving the swim team! Can't wait for both boys to be old enough. Found out today our tiny town has over 150 participants.
What a great time!

After the parade Lucas threw on his Rodeo gear and headed to watch the bulls with dad. Henry wasn't going to stay awake so we just stayed home.

Front row seats!

Just had to share how Henry gets on the trike. Seriously kid?!? 14 months going on 2 years old.

Fresh veggies

We've been able to enjoy some delicious fresh out of the ground vegetables the past week. It's amazing the taste difference!

Sweet Corn is by far my favorite!

Henry had it everywhere

Last night we had green beans. To be honest...I'm not a huge fan but when cooked with onion and teriyaki sauce how can you resist?

Well...this kid can. Poor guy is plagued with my texture issues. He started chewing after some convincing from mom and dad. Then I see his face turn red and the gagging start. Maybe we will stick with peas and corn!

The boys were being so cute in the tub so I ran to get my camera. I came back to this! Apparently he was done!

S'more treats after dinner

I love summer evenings with my family!

July Fun

Last week the weather was gorgeous so we soaked it up.

Sharing fighting over blueberries

See Henry...they are ALL GONE!
  My strong willed 2nd child!

Growing fast preschooler.

July 4th weekend we spent firing off fireworks, playing outside, swimming, eating (a ton) and hanging with family.

Growing up in the "city" we couldn't buy and set off our own fireworks. I LOVE it!

Uncle Daniel getting lots of help from Lucas and Hunter!

Potty break

He slept with this particular glow stick for two nights.

Water baby!

Prior to Henry I wouldn't consider using a life jacket. False sense of security..blah blah blah. Well when one is swimming and the other is trying to escape the latched pool gate....I quickly changed my mind. Henry has figured if he hangs on the door and swings his body, the latch will come undone. He is the reason for wine!

This kid was so proud of himself!
